Sarah Palin, still smarting over coverage of her vice presidential run, calls the media's reporting on her family "very scary".
Who is running for president? In an upstate New York county, hundreds of voters have been sent absentee ballots in which they could vote for "Barack Osama."
John McCain embarks on his final drive for the White House on Thursday night, promising to "reach out my hand to anyone to help me get this country moving again" as he accepts the Republican presidential nomination.
High energy prices have become the No. 1 issue for Minnesotans in this year's presidential race. High food prices are important, too, but they cut both ways in the agricultural state.
Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain has chosen Gov. Sarah Palin to be his running mate. She would be the first woman to serve on a Republican presidential ticket.
I found your post very interesting. My question for you (out of pure curiosity) is what made you become a Republican to be with?
My other comment is I agree w/you on the "fear factor" being tossed around. I've been saying for several years that we are looking like the new England.....meaning we appear to be trying to take over the world. Very disturbing and last but not least is anyone talking about the war on Georgia was allegedly orchestrated by the U.S. mainly those coming from the Republican party...
Once people put ignorance aside and fear and learn to think for themselves, they will be able to make a sound and reasonable decision. However, I doubt that will ever happen the fact that we are talking about a statement that was in no way shape or form meant to be degrading to women is an issue is pathetic.
As a woman I feel that the Republicans are getting carried away. Palin was called "inexperienced" and a Republican Congresswoman (she was on CNN last week[ w/Larry King] can't remember her name) said the comment was offensive and sexist to women. The thing that killed me was he never said anything demeaning, just gave his personal assessment of her and he was called sexist.
I tell you we are at a point in this country (and in my opinion have been there quite a while) where we keep setting ourselves back a few decades. Regardless of who gets in they will be inheriting a whole lot bull. I just pray for the future of this country b/c it seems we've become sheep and if the "media" plays something up, it must be true....
